In January we got two gerbils. The light brown one is Abby's. Her name is Alice. Mine is the black one and her name is Lily. Alice likes to eat sunflower seeds and Lily likes the corn. Lily and Alice are both good at burrowing in the fluff that we put in and like to keep us up at night. Before we go to bed we move their cage into the office. But sometimes they're up when we get home from school though, so after we do our homework we get out the wheel cars that Grandma Ilene got us and they run around in the living room. Gerbils are so cool!!!!!!
Ah yes.....the curious beasts! They're pretty fun!
ReplyDeleteLily looks like she's out on a sunday stroll. I imagine a purse and little hat on her head! Have they ever snuck out of their cage?

No. But sometimes we open the cage to change their food bowls they try to like climb on your sleeve. Most of the time they don't though.

Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hold them. If I remember right, they kind of tickle you when you hold them, right? I hope I don't start giggling and accidently drop Lily!!!
ReplyDeleteYah they're little feet tickle when they get up or crawl over your hand. They are pretty squirmy though and sometimes they won't get into your hand.

ReplyDeleteThey are as cute as our hamster at school named Cupcake. I have a hard time with little animals with a long tail and since Cupcake is a Russian dward hamster, she has no tail. The kids have fun holding her and building mazes for her to run in. They are fun and cute.
